Don't know if I will resist  (I really really want the Western if they don't drop any major clangers) .........but the Brush 2 does look very good to me:thumbs:

I wonder if there is any provision for DCC on this one ?

It looks pretty damn good to me.

The body side grills look very wrong to me, far too square/small

Cant say I noticed that, but I must admit to staring at the slant of the front windows, wondering if they are a tad too raked back? Otherwise I'm impressed.

In fact, while we're on the subject of different versions - I wonder why HJ show no interest in a bit of simple retooling to produce a different version of locos they already offer, such as a headcode box 20 or a centre box 37?

I thought that as well. generally the windows look a bit off, but it is not a loco i am familiar with so I could be talking out of my laser :))

haha I was waiting for that! I would like to have a go, especially if they sell off spare bodyshells for when I make a hash of my first attempt!

We did after Mr Heljan haggled us down!...........I think it was something like £50 each so Ross enquirered if he could do two for £80, Mr Heljan said "there was no way he could do them for £80, but he could do two for £75 & that was the best he could do!"................or something like that  :))
Yes thats it Phill, it was brilliant:confused::)) Hope we have a similar haggle with the western if they sell off the bodyshells;)

Ahhh but do YOU remember doing the haggling last year:))

Edited to emphasize that Lancer was in no fit state to haggle and was having enough trouble seeing last year.

I think if it gets to the point where you have to stare really hard at bits and aren't sure, and get the micrometers out, then in my book it's not worth getting too worked up over. It's glaring errors that really spoil models.
Yes I'm in total agreement Jordan, it looks like a Brush 2 to me & if I were in the market for one I would be buying the Heljan without a doubt..........If the Western is up to this standard I will be getting one !
