I have seen a post on the Guild forum that MM1 have announced on Facebook that all versions of the Class47 will be available shortly and also Mk 2 coaches.

We live in hope.

My reading of the Facebook post was only the 47/4s would be available initially but I'm happy to be corrected if I misunderstood.

I only repeated what I saw on the Guild Forum, but as you say, I have now been informed that it is only the 47/0 and 47/4 that will become available.

And they're back !

Just checked out MM1 and most of the diesel kits are back for ordering. Maybe not as cheap as PW subsidised them for their previous life but if they are the premier kit as people suggest then at least we have the option to own them again

The problem as far as I can see is that some people [obviously not all] were saying on this forum, and on RMWeb, that £445.00 was a high price for these kits. I cannot help wondering what they might say at £695.50 for the larger classes + wheels/motors etc.

In fairness to MM1, most seem to be £599.50 rather than £695.50.

Time will tell if there is a demand at the new price or not. Certainly for me personally they're worth every penny.

The main point is they're actually available to buy again!

The main thing is that they are back, and yes at £699 for a 40 or 47, it will need to be something you really want.

Lets hope there are enough people who really want one.

then again it never ceases to amaze me how much money some people in this hobby seem to spend and have it stacked on a shelf to do 'one day'

Reminds me David I was going to see if you did your MK1 underframes on their own as it seems a shame to put a coach body on it, but I digress :)
