Finney7’s Duchess pick ups.

B8012FBA-9952-4195-87EB-01B1E02F38E7.jpeg Hi everyone,

I would welcome your thoughts on pick ups for the Duchess I am currently working on.

I have used Slaters plunger type ones in the past but I am thinking about shorting out the drivers on the loco and the other side wheels on the tender.

The Duchess is a wonderful kit to build and I am thoroughly enjoying building it.
Best wishes

Richard

Hi Richard,
Have a look at page 15 post 291 on Mickoo's thread. He put some very nice flange wipers on his F7 Duchess build.
Cheers,
Peter

Many thanks for that Peter,

Micks work looks wonderful, hopefully mine will turn out almost as good as his. I will definitely do something similar with wipers for pickups. Also interesting to see where he has fitted weights.

Richard,
Having painted a few of yours now, your work is top notch:thumbs:

You’re very kind Warren. Building up a kit is only half the story, your painting makes a good model look wonderful.
As you can see I’m making some progress on the Finney7 Duchess. I am making sure that the sub assemblies are removable where possible to make it easier for you to paint.
