Hi all,

From another forum and replicated here with permission

"Mornin' all,

David Rodgers is trying to 'get a handle' on interest levels in wheelset conversion packs for the new Western. If you wish for a pack to become available in your gauge then click on the link below and follow David's instructions

http://www.ultrascale.com/node/37

I will be sending one of my Westerns to David for evaluation once they arrive.

Cheers

Dave"

Looking quite positive on this, there's 22 on the P4 'wanted' and 11 on the EM 'wanted'. If the 2 on the 00-SF don't get enough support, surely they could just regauge an EM set?
3 of the 22 are from me!?!
Yes! I still love my British hydraulics!
Cheers,
John E.

Aft'noon all,

The aforementioned Andy York Western to go to Ultrascale didn't happen because the loco had already been altered from its factory spec. Cheltenham Model Centre are now sending one (via a third party) to David Rodgers and he should receive it one day next week. He will then be able to see exactly what is required for the conversion packs.

Either way, the number for a P4 production run has now been comfortably exceeded, so let's hope now that David Rodgers doesn't find any technical issues that would prevent this coming to fruition.

Hi CK,

I'm anticipating a conversion pack that results in a pick-up appearance the equal of the original model. There is reason to be optimistic for the other gauges too.

Please note the cut off date for expressions of interest recently posted on the Ultrascale site for these packs and expect them to be a 'one off'.

Cheers

Aft'noon all,

Those who have expressed an interest in Ultrascale wheelsets for the Dapol Western should now go to the Ultrascale website and order/pay for their sets.

Any outstanding orders can now be made but priority will be given to those who expressed an interest.

Please don't request any other Ultrascale products on the same order as these sets.

Cheers

Dave
