I'm Doug Parfitt and I'm very much interested in NBL Class 22's, so much so that I'm Project Manager for Project 22, the Class 22 New Build. I haven't done a lot of modelling in recent years, but, I do have a stack of kits to be built, much is OO and quite a few in TT3 including a Worsley Works Class 22.

When I get the time, I plan to build a 5" gauge Class 22 to prove the CAD files that I'm developing from the original drawings that we are slowly purchasing.

Hi Doug,

welcome to WT. I'm sure that with the number of JLTRT 22's currently being built on here, you might find yourself somewhat overwhelmed with enquiries for details - suggest you get a set of drawings scaled down to 7mm as your first 'project'

We also like lots of photos with the posts - be warned - again.

cheers

Mike

Good to hear from you Doug and welcome. Like Mike says about the drawings, I would like a set for 2 1/2" gauge please.

Cheers Ian

The drawings will be of the real thing, not a model. The drawings are the same ones that Steve Beattie and Fred Phipps used and consequently used by JLTRT and Dapol

I've started on the Bogies, just one side frame consists of 4 plates welded together into a box section, it don't come in one piece like a model! . I'll post some more info when I get home.

Regards,

Doug

Welcome Doug and a big WOW! from me.

I've just saved you answering a load of questions from me by spending some time looking at your Project 22 website - what a daunting task it is.

Your technical section suggests identical transmissions are still in use in locomotives currently operating on foreign railways? That is promising.
