Hello!

Initially stumbled across this forum, or was led here by the work of a few people who I respect. Had a look around and really like it!

Been a modeller on and off (more off than on) and haven't done any railway modelling at all for over 5 years. A house move led to me discovering a box of kitbuilt rolling stock and ignited a spark deep inside!

Not sure I'll get much done, as have a lot of DIY to do first but you never know!

Oh yes, I should have mentioned! 00 gauge, BR Blue mainly.

Got a preference for battered freight over passenger stock but that's mainly down to layout size (not that I have a layout!).

The majority of my modelling over the last few years has been 1:72 and 1:48 aircraft.

BR Blue and aircraft..!! Yep you'll fit in well here. ;) ...now if you'd just like to step this way, we'll soon have you on the 7mm Slippery Slope :)

Here's the box of stock that rekindled my interest. If anyone is interested, maybe I could take some photos of them out of the box!

Hi Matt, and welcome!

Good to read that you've 'got your mojo back', and I look forward to seeing more of your atmospheric modelling after your recent dalliance with aircraft modelling.

Funnily enough, I was thinking of Talerdigg only the other day; would like to have seen a video of some casual shunting on it. A great topic.

All the very best,

Jonte

Hi Jonte, good to hear from you - it's been a long time.

Not sure my mojo is "back" enough to build a layout, but there is a small spark there.

Talerddig still exists, albeit in a non-running and very dilapidated condition.

A long time indeed, Matt.

I've had several bursts of enthusiasm since, including anything from an oval of setrack including home made points with an American HO flavour, to a more recent stab at an embryonic GWR station terminal in what promises to be P4. Regrettably, my time is extremely limited at present and probably for some time to come, however, I'm hoping to be a little more constructive over the summer, so watch this space!

Glad to hear that Talerdigg is still around, even if only a shadow of its former self.

Please keep us apprised of developments with it or any other project you're working on.

Best wishes,

Jon.
