image.jpeg Just one tonight, on same roll of film at Devon 1966, taken a few weeks later in early November 1966 at the Dowty site at Ashchurch. I've never seen a preservation shot of (4)6201 in BR green, so here goes - being a dull day the colours are a bit muted, to come is one of the lovely Cadbury locos, based at Ashchurch.

Thanks for the kind comments - always very happy to share the material -

The next one I umped and arred about posting - its really poor quality and I've played around with settings and clarity but I thought for sheer rarity - Its Paignton the same day as the earlier shot at Goodrington CS (same green warship). NR colleagues in the know say it is definitely D800 - long thin nameplate -

Righto another green Warship D801 at Paington Zoo (!!) in 1972 - name Jungle Express. It had small yellow warning panels - the line is 10 1/4 gauge. Self and younger brother on these tremendous purple lollies as mother pays the driver / ticket collector. View attachment 30275
This loco was dumped at Buckfastleigh by the workshops for several years circa 1998 it was maroon then. It disappeared later hopefully restored now?
