I collected the first two trees for this project today, Mike Whatton has done a great job on them, These will go on the centre section of the sea wall project that will represent the centre section that is only really accessible at very low tide.

I made a start on the boards for the centre section today, slight change of plan as it will now be 2 x 4’ boards bolted together, The sea wall section will now be 2 10’ boards either side of this one bit split on to two 5’ sections.
Having two 10 foot sections will give better views of the Trains.
Any admins reading this could we move it into the layout section of the forum??

Polystyrene arrived! What a messy job!! Nearly finished the first half.
Trees are just to get a feel. I’ll get a forest in a box kit at some point.

A pair of very nice 3D printed signal heads arrived today from Pete Harvey designs. On the Coryton Cliffs board I would like a colour light signal gantry very similar to the ones that are along the sea wall today but mine will be as if the GWR had installed one in the 30’s
The gantry will be similar to the one I have on Ranelagh Bridge but not as big and the legs won’t be as substantial.
The signal heads are of GW origin and you can see the finished examples on the RB gantry.
I don’t think there was any signalling prior to the colour light taking over in 1987 For bidirectional running but it will make a nice focal piece.
