1/32" dia copper snap head rivets

Does anyone know where I might be able to buy some 1/32" dia x say 4mm copper snap head rivets? I've spoken with the Saphire rivet people and they are quoting me £7 per hundred if I buy 500 rivets and I was wanting somewhere nearer 1000. I was expecting a price half of that so, I was a little surprised. Brass rivets 1/32" x .250 are easily enough to get hold of but not copper. I can hear some of you saying, 'why don't I punch the material to look like rivets?' Well, I kind of like the idea of using rivets :).

Can you make them? If you want what would be 70 quid’s worth, but 5 metres of 1/32 copper wire would be a tiny fraction of that, it might be worth setting up some way of doing it repeatably.

Then again, I guess it’s how you value your time, as I guess it wouldn’t be fun...

Thanks for that, I'll give them a call on Monday. I did look at their site but didn't go into the catalogue as I was put off by the 1/16" min.

When we used to do small diameter 10mm or less, riveting we used round bar of the required size and the appropriate dollies front and back, it was quicker than ordering the rivets from stores.

I ordered the rivets from Polly's and they have arrived already. They do look the part and I received a good discount. I say looked the part as I've found that with tiny rivets, the heads aren't always formed correctly but these are perfect. Thanks for giving me the nod.
