The muted colours work really well to compliment your back scene, Alan.

A tranquil, verdant scene if ever there was one.

Morning Al.

These photos really are quite splendid.

The layout, even in this unfinished state is taking on a lovely look and you have struck a lovely valance with the colouring.

The most important thing to these sheep like eyes is that all seems to blend in.

Top stuff indeed.

Rob than you very much. I'm still struggling with different scale, remembering that things are much larger in O gauge than they are in OO. Still it is good that many things learnt in building Wencombe are translatable to Blakeney as long as I remember that trees etc are larger.

Today I have been experimenting with the hedge that will run along the back of the layout. It has over grown the railway fence.

There will be trees planted behind it. At the moment the are hanging upside down over the bath, drying, after being soaked to straighten them

All looks very good Alan . You must be pleased the way it's progressing.

The hedgerow is particularly effective in breaking up the baseboard/backscene delineation.

That's an incredible compliment, Phil. If the finished layout is 25% of Bucks Bill I'll be happy.

Hi Alan,
Please excuse the sudden blast of 'likes' but they're very well deserved as this layout is terrific!
Cheers,
John.
