I saw this link on RMweb a little while ago - the waterfall on page 6, and the bridge on page 7 are perhaps some of the finest scenic modelling in any scale.

The trees are sublime, but I was really taken with this pic:

Book marked for further reading! that double slip is something else isn't it? hard to comprehend its N gauge.

Mick,

Yep - they're bad enough to make in HO. So bad, in fact, that I never finished either of the attempts I made...

I saw this on the Templot forum, it takes a while to load and its in German http://stummiforum.de/viewtopic.php?p=547403#p547403

Superb. The track work is especially stunning, but the trees are also to die for. Sure, I've seen these photos before, but they're worth repeating. Thanks for posting the link.

It's hard to tell the scale of these N scale models in the photos, which in my book is always the sign of the very best modelling.

If any of you are interested in very finescale N scale and the FREMO FS160 fiNe-scale standards, have a rootle around this website http://www.fs160.eu/ (in English) This is the website of Henk Oversloot and showcases his adaptation of the 2mm Scale Association's standards to 1:160 modelling. He has a gallery of photos taken on 'Bovigny' here http://www.fs160.eu/Gallery/gallery.php The fiNe-scale standards have been published here http://www.raw-nette.de/fs_eng.htm (in English).

There are more fiNe-scale photos on the website of Edward von Flottwell here http://www.finescale.org/finescale.org/Startseite.html (in German).

Encouraging stuff for 1:160 buffs! :D
