yes its quite easy do you have the bit with a pilot drill in it . if so start the pilot drill and using a square check that drill is 90 degrees to the wall then slowly apply pressure until the corer has cut approx 1" in to the wall recheck that the main body of the corer is still 90 degrees to the wall then continue . The secret is go slowly take your time let the drill do the work. I have 2 to drill when we add a bathroom and move the existing toilet upstairs and if I can do it a man of your talent will have no problem, just 1 thing to be carefull not to stop the drill in the wall always remove it before switching off as the tourque is strong enough to try and catch in the wall and pull it from your fingers

They come as a set and they are mega expensive I will make some inquires I think you may end up hiring one or I may know of 1 I could borrow

Another way of doing it is to mark a circle on the outside wall to the dia you require and drill a series of holes though the outer wall join the holes up and remove the blank then mark the center of the hole on the inner wall then go into the house draw a circle and repeat

I have done the chain drilling bit and its never that neat :headbang: I can only drill from the inside as there is not enough clearance for a drill on the outside. on the bright side it only needs to go through a bit of plasterboard and a single brick :D
I will check the local hire shops. if it was a 32mm cutter i would deffo buy one as I would use it again at some point.

Have hired them previously - it was about a tenner for the day. If you do, take care to check the shank of the drill is not bent. The last one I had was a little contorted with interesting results; once the drill began to bite I was thrown about like Wile E. Coyote on a patent Acme pneumatic hammer.

The kids peering out the window thought it was all funny though, and wanted more. Not a chance.

Actually the rest of the house is 50thou plasticard with Slaters bricks
Its actually a bit of wall in the cellar where the coal hole was bricked up  if I had thought about it 3 years ago then I would have done the job before the dry lining :headbang: :headbang:
the local hire place can do the drill and bit for ?23 and I will put on an external extractor into the kitchen while I have the drill :D
