Open 10am till 5pm both days.

The 2019 Uckfield Model Railway Exhibition will once again be featuring a selection of some of the best quality layouts around. There will be full trade support as well as Demonstration and Society stands. Licensed Restaurant within the Civic Centre will be open throughout the weekend. There will be bacon/sausage baps for early arrivals to purchase - from 9am.

Of the 16 layouts there will no less than 13 different scale/gauge combinations represented. Standard and narrow gauge British, American, Australian and Dutch prototypes.

Highlights include the UK debut of De Graafstroom, the new layout from Vincent de Bode more widely known for his GER P4 layout Flintfield. Just updated original post to include Daconby Town in 3mm/ft finescale.

That makes it 13 different scale/gauge ratios within the 16 layouts booked.

One of the layouts appearing at Uckfield is the October Continental Modeller's Railway of the Month - De Graafstroom.

Built by Vincent de Bode and two friends the layout will be making its first trip to the UK from Holland.

Vincent is probably better known in the UK for his GER P4 layout Flintfield.

The layout is built to P87 standards using 12.26mm gauge track to represent the prototypes 3ft 6in gauge.

Featuring various animations including the sailing barge, swan, lifting bridge and of course the sound fitted trains - this will be one to see.
