I feel your pain Alan..!
I started a batch build (4) of Parkside 16 Tonners, including one of the ex 'MoT' wagons a week ago,but have spent more time filling and sanding than actulay building the things.....

Now i don`t know if it's me, but i've built a couple of these in the past and don`t remember having to do this much filling on them?.

Anyhow you`ve done a nice job on your wagon and the weathering, and together they make a nice rake.

Brian.

I've built a couple - and have another in the drawer (I don't really do 7mm) - and the amount of filling looks about right, from memory. Nice work all round.

Very nice Alan, the second shot down does it for me.

Quote......" The station and line are closing in a few months ".

Will you be starting a new layout then ? :D

A subtle alteration regarding the sleepers after finding out the huts were built without a floor. I gather after they were placed concrete was poured in to make a floor and so I made the sleepers the edge of the concrete. However a load of tufts of grass seem to have grown round the bottom. judging by the pale tops it must be the end of summer and even with the extra water from rain coming of the hut roof they are beginning to die.

Some tittivating of bits not easily seen, the path from the track to the platform, there is now a verge under the hedge.

And the track/road over the bridge now has verges and some growth down the middle. Sorry about the quality of this photo.

Not done over much in the last week, just made a couple of coal loads for two of the minerals.

first was to build the structure to hold the coal.

and then to paint the top surface black.

then added the coal, yes real coal.

Check that it still fits in the wagon

and then put into service
