Hiya...IKEA is your friend The wallboards are from the 'Skadis' range.
I have a Nakamichi CR3-E boxed up in the loft
Nice! I used to sell the gear a good few years ago. I picked the tape deck up about a year ago to dub some railway cassettes onto CD, pile is still waiting.....
Hehe, that sounds familiar. I rate both Yamaha and Nak as good decks, but used to actually use one of the better Aiwa ones as the sound quality was fantastic for the money. I wouldn't use it now though as the build quality isn't really there compared to Yamaha, Nakamichi or even Sony and they'll all be getting a bit long in the tooth now.
No tape deck in use these days though, I digitised most of mine a few years ago; some are on CD, most just stored as WAV on a hard drive.
Might take me a while to store my CD's as WAV....have about 900. Hi-res PCM would be the way forward using Foobar 2000.
Maybe we need a Hi-Fi section here on WT. Sorry for the thread diversion Lee.
Well. In between the big change and selling mountains of stock, I have also still been trying to get some work done! Always a pleasure to have these, and work with on the bench, the Sutton class 24.
Out of the box, all I have done is weather it.
Lovely models Lee, I can still remember the lunchtimes at school by the GW mainline seeing, hearing and smelling the Westerns roaring through Maidenhead station in 1970. The schools don't even let the kids out these days!
I also like the Deltic, again memories of KX.
