Brilliant, b****y brilliant!

Thankfully I do not have to put up with the C-in-C screaming and shouting like you poor blue conscripts.

At first the sound of the impact made people think the whole stand had gone over but it was just a solitary GUV ;)

He didn't seem to bothered it took him an eternity to get to the front, the event organiser was more bothered about the dent in the floor from my chin hitting it. Honestly I didn't know someone(not me) had balanced it on the end. well it made it a little bit more realistic another dent

Glad everyone had a good time. Now what about telling us what you all bought?

Apart from socialising..... Collected my order from Ken Degroome for some 7' 9" wheel base motor bogies for my Met Railway 1913 saloon stock scratchbuilding project. Started building one of said motor bogies today...

Then it was a visit to C&L for rail, crossing nose chairs and slide chairs. They had already run out of wooden sleepers and as I am not a fan of the plastic ones it's a web order during the coming week.

Then a visit to the Guild stand to buy an apron. Hopefully this will cut down on the swarf, plastikard shavings, drops of glue and other modelling leftovers that normally make a mess of my clothes.....

Bit of a record for me as it's the first time I have stuck to my shopping list.:D

Had a good day after what was a very loooong and tiring week, so thankfully I was given a lift. Nice to meet up with old faces and meet new ones. Seemed to spend the whole day talking to people and ended up buying very little - I even missed a couple of stands I'd meant to visit:rolleyes: though I did manage to pick up some more work which was a bonus. No need to hire a table, just spend the day gassing :D

All I bought were some sundries - Dullcote, glass fibre sticks, etc as well as this rather tasty casting for a job later this year:

This new kit from Ragstone for Basilica Fields - only three vans were built and they all ran in the area portrayed, so I might end up doing one of each:

And this kit which strictly speaking was bought by someone else, though it came home with me as it's a future commission. I love the Adams LSWR tank designs (so very GER in aspect!) but none can feature on Basilica so I'm particularly pleased to have netted this one. This will be in either late Southern or early BR livery, and the question at the time will be can I resist buying one for me to decorate in either the Adams or Drummond liveries? All bets are off!

Sorry for the rubbish photos courtesy of my phone.

Next stop, the ALSRM show at Reading in May.

I've just bought one of those too, replacing my old cotton Draper apron which was quite literally falling to pieces after 7 years of toil.

My new Guild one is Ultramarine Blue and I wonder if I can convince SWMBO to stitch vermilion lining all around it...?

but unless I miss my mark, I think it is the pre-production Heljan 40 painted and weathered by Brian Daniels.

I don't pretend to know 40s well, but it looks great to me.
