Avonside chassis jig for 7mm

Just thinking out loud... the set for use with 7mm models comes with 3/16" axle pins and that is great for the majority of the Slater's range of 7mm wheels. The Eileen's Emp. web-site offers alternative axle pin sets for 4mm modellers... and nothing for those Slater's wheels which are manufactured specifically for the Finney 7mm range of kits. Who has used the Avonside jig with axles of 5/32mm diameter?

thanks, Graham

The MF series of 5/32" axles are used for bogie, trailing and tender wheels, so not really applicable to consideration for a chassis jig.

I use my Holiday Hobbies jig to set up bogies and tender axles as well as driving wheels as it ensures the axles are parallel and in line. Makes fitting sprung hornblocks a doddle. Phil supplies rods which are 3/16" and 1/8" but I turned down some additional ones for 5/32". I am surprised that neither he nor the Avonside folk have realised they are missing a trick to sell additional axle rods!
Ian.
