Baseboard "legs - What Design Do You Recommend?

Rather than use 2" x 1" timber, you can assemble light weight legs using two 2" wide strips of 1/4" ply, separated/held apart/held together with 1/4" x 1/2" pine mouldings. Stanley knife, sandpaper, staple gun, straight edge and square are the only toos required, and pva the only other material. You can even plan ahead and have the moulding strips for cross members being attached to the legs.

Sorry: no pictures, but I have tried this. The only thing to watch for are splinters...
