Well, my second-hand Class 47 has been through the paintshop and, although there's still a couple of jobs to do on the central lamp brakets, wipers, and the O/H Elec signs, she's coming along ok. Also took a bit of time to scruff up 37214 which still needs work on the main radiator grills and the wipers to add.....

47366 will probably be the only Green diesel in my fleet of 1976 (with poetic licence for my Hymek, and a Warship (if ever I can get my hands on a kit!). There were still a few 20's in green at that time, but my Tinsley based twins will be in good old match winning blue. There's something about duffs in TTGFYE though.... well I think so, and I'm a diehard Bluey!

Both the Duff & the Siphon look good...

Now I am confused...  all I can see are two diseasels, where is the NCPS for carrying milk?  ??? ??? ???

Being so confused, can someone tell me where to find a spare seat in the back row.  No pineapple rock, got a bag of Pontefract cakes though.

Completely off topic but I work just over the road from Haribo in Pontefract, where they make them - there is always a lovely smell of licorice in the air (a good job I like the smell of licorice I suppose )

I would guess so. they have a factory shop too but I haven't been in, despite working there for the last 4 years.

My kids love Haribo too - when I'm soft enough to let them have a few.....  I nip in an' take the cherry ones first, of course! ::)

Only one Heljan there, Phill..... the Type 3's a JLTRT which I put together for my late Father - I think he'd have approved

I hope the Heljan 31 is as good or better.........I might be tempted by a western region GFYE with double arrows  8)

Hi Ian, great looking 37 ,although i'm not a great 37 enthusiast it looks very good. The 47 looks superb.
I was toying with the idea of doing 47 366 in two tone green with tops when i get my green 47 . But now you have done it i will go with my other candidate of 47 242 ( i've got a pic of this one at Penzance ..
Keep sending those progress pics

Very tasty I like the two tone green 47 as i personally think it suited them better. I was always amazed that they used a blue backed tops panel no matter what the colour loco it made some pretty colourful loco's if you counted the rust as well

Can't believe it was April I last posted on here! Where's the time going????
Anyway, I've had some etches back on the Clayliner as you know, so I thought I'd have a moring's flurry with the ol' iron and knocked up the confanglement below.... Nice to be back burning my fingers again!:)rsz_img_7690.jpg
Should turn out OK after all with a bit of luck... the plastic prototype's looking a bit worse for wear in the background as the kids have had their play with it, but so far so good with this little venture. Got to sort out the axleboxes, and some artwork for the discharging pipes, etc., but the brake gear looks OK on the etches, and I'll see where it takes me to over the next couple of weeks.

ps. Rob - that's also how far I've got with D1063 (Dreadful!), but she does sound good with Cynric's Boom-boxes in place:thumbs:.
