BR (E) A3 Smoke Deflectors

I am about to start a (DJH) A3 in 7mm scale and would like to complete the model with a double chimney and German type smoke deflectors. So far I have been unable to find a source despite searching extensively, any help welcome.

Get hold of Richard at Finney7, they are part of our A3 kit and we may have some spare for a suitable fee. If we don't and you're not in a rush (month or so) then I'll add some to a etch I'm bound to have going off in the near future as an extra, then I'll pass them to Richard for forwarding on to your good self.

Shame as I've just sent off three etches for testing last week, one of them had a bit of space left on it.

Hi Mick - thank you for your kind and helpful reply. I will contact Richard and see if he can help me with this request, I am not in a rush as I still have significant work to do on my current build (at least until the end of the year) so if Richard is unable to assist I will let you know and would be very grateful to accept your offer of an etch at a future date. Again my thanks for your kindness.

Hi Michael,

Are you sure that they are not included on the DJH etches? I ask because they were when I built mine, I didn't use them and passed them onto someone else who was looking for some at the time.

I agree with Rob - When I did my DJH A3 to A1/1 conversion, there were certainly German type smoke deflectors in the kit. They are part no: 239 [on kit 310/c] and they are on their own little brass etch - not on one of the big multipart etches.

Thanks everyone - I missed them so apologies for my incompetence it's just the double chimney I need now......note to MickD I will update Richard accordingly and again thanks for the help.

I have been directed to their location by Rob and Arun on the fret so deflectors sorted, sorry to waste your time. I will now update Richard as only a double chimney is needed..
