Bristol show report

I went on Sunday, once I found the correct entrance it was an excellent venue plenty of space to move around and lots of traders. Unfortunately I arrived a little late and i had to park in the overflow carpark, fortunately it wasnt raining
I spent some time looking at milk tanks  and I had a good chat with Brian (ABC gears) Clapperton when I got my Western motor bogie. Chris Hillier had sold the last Hawksworth C82 (one of the ones that was in Blue grey) :( I also picked up a book on the Withered arm which had some good shots of D63xx's in North devon - hmmm more ideas :D
Brian Daniels was showing some of his JLTRT collection which looked impressive

Dan spent more time than me looking about so I am sure he will have some more to add.

Actually, I didn't spend quite as much time looking as I intended, because I kept bumping into people I knew and having lengthy chinwags, but that's one of the great things about exhibitions!

I have to say though, it was a very nice venue, with lots of space in the aisles and numerous seats dotted around the place. At no time during the day, did it feel crowded, yet there always seemed to be a lot of people there.

I picked up some more S7 axles for the Castle bogie/tender and a full colour Strathwood book "Looking Back at Western Region Hydraulics" - very nice!

I saw Brian Daniels demoing JLTRT kits and also pestered Malcolm Mitchell and Martin Welch a couple of times.

Definitely one for next year's diary and a huge thank you to all concerned with the staging of this event. :D
