Ah yes, jolly good show, well brought up that man.

Last night I finalised the floor plan and I am just trying to write the show guide. All is set and it's going to be a good 'un. Gerry Beale is doing the Titfield booksop honours on the Saturday and George is doing the Sunday.

The show got a terrific mention in the latest MRJ too (208).

Please make yourselves known to me if you visit, I'll be wandering around with a big yellow "Triang" mug of tea and chatting or grating cheese and washing up in the kitchen, although Captain Kernow is scheduled for kitchen duties :)) :))

I hope MRj has been distrubted within your catchment area rather better than it has here in Leciestershire/Rutland: not in the local shops (distribution I beleive, by WHS) and local WHS branches still have 207 on the shelf!

Will be there today to give some support to Robin Fielding with his S scale layout - in other words yet another impromtu meeting of the SSMRS which seems to happen every time an S scale layout is exhibited.  :D

Just back from a good day at Bradford-on-Avon.  It is a small exhibition but well worth the visit with a good selection of layouts on the light railway theme - and very good fruit cake to go with tea.  :D  And the usual impromptu S scale meeting happened around "Grove Street Junction".  :D

Can we have some pix, please - of the fruit cake (that's no way to refer to Simon C in public!) and the layouts?

Well, I had a lovely afternoon at the show.  Chatted with a couple of notable Thunderers  and also spent a little time talking to all the demonstrators; some stunning work there.

A lovely cup of tea too...

However in all the excitement I failed to take my camera out of it's bag.  Even once.  Rubbish.

This is just a ploy to get us all to turn up next year, out of curiosity, isn't it?

Must admit, I would like to go, but it is a bit of a hike...

Sorry for late input and thank you to everyone who came to the show.

It went very well I think, there were certainly some great models and having managed to have never seen Maidstone Road, Rye Town or Weston Ashcombe Road I did some serious "catching up".

Nice to meet Martin CME and catch up with Steph, (apologies I've forgotten partners names)

I'm still doing post show admin, but am happy to report that I sent off cheques to the value of £500 to the Railway Children charity yesterday - the most that the show has ever raised in one go.

I will update the website to reflect all this in due course and have started doing next year's show...

Thanks again to all who visited and participated - Captain Kernow received the much coveted golden cheese grater award in the kitchen department!
