:D Hoooooorrrrrrraaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy Riflemans back:D:cool::cool:

Dan the only problems i have encountered with the roofs was the joints needed cleaning before i glued into position.:thumbs:

Although i have seen/heard somewhere that the roof panel didn't line up with the grills on the body:confused:. Although they looked fine to me ( but not being a rivet counter it all looked where it needed to be ).

Great to see some more progress mate:thumbs: Keep those pics coming.:thumbs:

Thanks for that Rob - perhaps a new roof would be my best option?

As for the roof and side grills not lining up, it may well have been my thread you read it on - I had to cut the roof in half and splice a piece of 40 thou styrene in the gap!

Dan,

Looking good :thumbs:

What adhesive did you use to join the cabs to the sides? I've been trying some of these two part epoxys on other small parts, admittedly brass and white metal and they are not playing ball so I don't really trust them on large JLTRT loco parts.

You need to use super glue, I prefer green label Zap, or Rocket medium, but the main thing is to spend the time getting the join perfect or as near as you can before you try and glue it.

Looking great nice to see an old thread resurrected (maybe I need to do the same)
Excellent stuff though. ..

Ross :)

Thanks Ross - It's good to be back and as a fairly recent member of the parenting club yourself, you'll no doubt know why I've not done much these past few years! :eek:

Your railway room is looking really good and in time, I do hope to see some of your threads reawakened. :thumbs:

Yes Dan it's very hard so I know where you are coming from.. I've got a little girl 7 weeks old as well as Toby who's 3 going on 13 ha ha.. so it's very hard to find time to get any modelling done let alone take on a huge project like my loft! We must be mad all this we do for a hobby :) :)

Keep up the good work Ross :)
