Thank you folks..... I must say that having a laser doesn't save you any time at a all, you just get deeper into it!

I've done all I shall do to it now - and it will shortly get glued to the railway!

That's an interesting bit of kit I was going to say for the price but then realised the eBay shops were "drill not included". With the clamp I presume you can pick and choose which drill to go for. Which one are you using?

It's the mains powered IBS/E, which has the same speed as the others, but a much higher wattage. A nice drill in itself!

The stylus was cut and bored out to make a tool-holder, and new stylus nibs were made

This is the latest bit of fun. It started life as another eBay model, with a 'Hales Cakes' box trailer, and now is a radio controlled flat bed.

I've finally managed to successfully cobble together a four-stick transmitter - and get it to work reliably (quite an achievement, I assure you!) So the mobile crane is now fully operational!
