A very timely reposting of your article. Having completed buiding the tender I am embarking on the loco’s chassis and note your comments about compensation. Could you show details of your modification to the hornblocks? My experience has been with Slaters’ sprung hornblocks using about 1mm travel on each of the six drivers. This seems to be a good solution on my layout, do you think it would work on the Coronation?
