Colin from my eye there seems to be a lot of metalcote gunmetal in there , are you pushing weathering powders in as well during your airbrushing and whilst the job is still wet.

Hi Fred,
I don't make much use of powder's apart from black for soot covered surfaces, once I get the basic coat of grime on it's down to cutting back, dry and air brushing with enamels and more cutting back, I do use a lot of metalcote depending on the finish rquired and of coarse it's invaluable on worn metal surfaces such as step treads and handrails etc.
I also use acrylics sometimes but less so than enamel as you can't cut back with this stuff, I tend to use it more for what I would describe as detail weathering.

Not so long ago I just missed getting the etches and chassis for one of these - I was a bit tight and didn't put enough on it though - it went for £35.

£35 :headbang: blimey Rob you missed a bargain there. It's not a bad kit although I had to mess around with it as it was for S7.
