I hasten to add that I don't nor ever did know either of the two gentlemen concerned but they enlightened my days and showed how British outline modelling could be elevated to world class, back in the eighties or so.
Fond memories indeed!
Not exactly a bargain but worth the money (I only wish I had it spare).

I’m guessing the factory had been engulfed in a fire of some sort, and this was rescued just in time before it destroyed the loco. Insert emoji of choice.
