As an aside to building stock for Millicent Street, I really enjoy figure painting and so when the selecting of figures for the layout started, I took on the task of providing them. We had decided that we didn't want a lot of figures as this is back street Hull, not Piccadilly Circus. After looking round, the Phoenix range of figures offered a good selection. I had used them before on Hospital Gates and they (in my opinion) capture the look of everyday folk.
After cleaning and drilling the leg for a locating pin, they were all primed using Halfords grey primer as this gives a sound base to start with.
Progress on them will be quicker than the 08 build, although I will only be working on them on a Monday & Thursday as this is when we meet.
These four will located in the pub and fish & chip shop.
The driver on the left has been modified to show drinking a pint instead of a mug and the battleaxe on the right is waiting for her fish supper order.
