Keith Phillips
Western Thunderer
Hello from deepest Devon. I have just delivered my beloved classic car to it's new owner and now the dream of a garden railway can begin to turn into reality.
I have limited knowledge of railway modelling having been involved with military modelling for a while. I do work at 12 inches to the foot on a railway every day so I do have a bit of background on the subject.
I intend to build a line in gauge 1 which will be representative of the old LSWR and GWR lines in the West Country. I will need lots of help and advice, some of which I have already been given thanks to the top notch people who frequent this forum.
Any pointers for beginners kits or rtr stock and where to find them would be gratefully received. I have joined G1mra and I am looking forward to the challenge.
I hope to post updates on progress in the garden when things get going. I also look forward to hearing from a very talented bunch of people who are producing some lovely models.
