Great day for me too, great to meet up with friends from around the country, Thanks to Mike for the tip about the SR Bogie B Van....just the thing for Withercombe's parcel trains. I also got a bargain from the Bring & Buy, mine was a Low Mac for the princely sum of £8 which will look great in the growing P/Way fleet once it has received some TLC in Withercombe Works......apart from the bargains, I picked up some MK1 bits from Sean @ EasyBuild & Hymek bits from Pete @ PRMRP.

One of the highlights was seeing Chris's painting of Western Champion which looks even better in the flesh.........superb Chris!

Phill.

Its was good to see some of you guys. I have to say I wont be going as a trader to Doncaster as it wont work for us we will never cover the cost of the stand. I have been doing shows since 1970 and any never covered our cost when you go east. It may work for 4mm and 2mm but the price of O gauge kits means that you have to know where you can sell them.

Doncaster Dome is already decided for next year isn't it?
I believe so, on the GOG forum they say it has been provisionally booked so unless anything better turns quickly then it will be at Doncaster. They have already ruled out the majority of contenders that most people have suggested.

It was great to meet up with so many members including finally seeing Paul (OzzyO) to speak to. - I have seen him from a far at several shows.

For the first time at the Summer show I didn't go over budget by a penny (I usually manage a few quid.....) My purchases were mainly collecting a few plastic wagon kits from the E&T and then getting stocks of buffers, strip etc. for my scratch builds.

Cris would also like to offer her appreciation for all the kind words put forward on her painting, she was especially glad that not only did Phill get to see it that he liked it too.

As a resident of East Yorkshire could I just say we don't all have deep pockets and short arms. I did once (think about) buying a record by Kylie!
