GWR ATC Shoe Positioning And Mounts.

Once again I need lots of help, Mrs PT and my friends often tell me I need 'help' lol, but this time it is of the modelling type.

I want to retro fit ATC shoes to the following loco types...……..

57xx Pannier Tank
8750 Pannier Tank
45xx Prairie
4575 Prairie
61xx Prairie.

I have a few photo's of the positioning on a couple of loco's but no were near enough detail. Most if not all seem to have been removed on restored loco's, including the one on 4566 that is sat nicely in Highly Engine House. :headbang:

So any help. advice, photo's, diagrams will be very gratefully received.

41xx ATC shoe was mounted beneath the pony truck. The ATC apparatus was arranged to clip up automatically on entering an electrified area.

61xx The ATC shoe was bolted to the front buffer beam.

I have quite a few photographs of the 61XX tanks and a few of the 57XX and 8750 panniers. All are what you'd describe as general views, in other words no special attempt was made to photograph or include the ATC gear, although cab shots of a couple of the 61XX locos may include controls relevant to the ATC. Some of the better ones of these have already been on WT but I'll be happy to publish again if you think they may help your quest.

Additionally I have some of the 4575 class at Barry, soon after withdrawal, so possibly still complete with ATC gear.
