Think I might be able to get along to this. I'll see if John is available too. Any other 'Thunderers' thinking of going?

It's a wee bit far for me, especially after a full stint at Telford..

Though I would like to know a lot more about this gauge 3 lark!!

Aren't you going to be somewhere else on the 8th anyway?  ;D

ITSR that Gauge 3 is 1:24 scale running on  2.5 inch gauge track - in other words, massive!

Usually 1:22.5, 13.5mm:1,or 17/32" on 2.5"/63.5mm gauge track.
Traditional scale was 1/2" so yes 1:24

One day....

Close enough Pugsley, actual numbers are 1:22.6 and 63.5mm, but its still massive!
S7JB - further reading can be found here and temptation lies a little further over here

Enjoy
Steve

Edit - beaten to it by CJD, so have a photo of a G3 wagon instead

I'll make sure I pop across to say Hello then  If you're playing with an 08, does that mean the Ruston is painted up....

Went there today and came back with a bit of cash in my wallet, which was a surprise. Bought 2 lengths of brass channel from metalsmiths, when he told me how much, I thought it was gold.
Was going to get an Ian Kirk kit but can't remember seeing the stand, don't know if he was there or not.
Plenty of action with the gauge 1 men
