Hiding Back Board Joints.

I needed to hide the joints in my self adhesive back board scenic papers. I thought of a few different ways to achieve this but in the end decided to risk trying some thing I had never done before...…..painting onto paper.

I am not to bad at painting figures and models but these are 3 dimensional, paper is very flat so I was not very confident. I used my good old modelling acrylics.
Any way I had a go and here is my effort, it is just a dead tree but it hides the joint ok. I have left a little bit of join on show at the bottom so you can see what I am trying to hide.

Thank you Dave.

It looks even better when viewed standing back (in fact all my work does). This join is only 8" from the end of the board. The centre one is all leaves so they blend in and the other 8" from the end join will be behind a model tree because it is above my tunnel.
