Hold and glue

I'm not sure if this is a new idea but I thought I'd pass it on anyway as it's potentially very useful for holding things while glue dries. For some time I have used a piece of glass (50p charity shop picture frame) and a cheap metal try-square when I have needed to glue pieces of plastic at ninety degrees to each other. I had noticed that sometimes the vertical component would droop away from the supporting try-square. Finally the penny dropped, and I picked up a small magnet that has been on the bench for years and used it to hold the plastic vertical component onto the try-square.
