F. A. L. C. O. N. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agreed, 47 kit that went a bit wrongRight, now I'm really going to put the cat amongst the pigeons......
What's so brilliant about Falcon anyway...????
To me it looks like an ugly 47. The headcode box is too high up on the nose; it has a design of fairing around the windows that is a bit like a Hymek but not as style-ish. It's got more grills than a BBQ down it's sides...... Does absolutely nothing for me at all..!!
Discuss. (Or rant & fume at such philistine ignorance.... )

I have a feeling that BFYE 1200 Falcon may have been transferred to Devon in her final years (modelers liscence) & may have spent a lot of this time working down the Withercombe branch

.....She's just not the best looker in town....
Exactly which - as shocking/heretical as my own view is, is why I asked
I didn't know she was hydraulic, for one thing - thanks Phill !! She's just not the best looker in town....
Not sure it's on the Facebook Falcon page.Steve,
Is that picture of Falcon in Swindon one of my Dad's photos? Has it got a Brian Dale credit associated with it?
Steph
Regarding nameplates, I already have a set, and worksplates, bought from Guilplates. Not dear either.
The Falcons are very nice, the worksplates clear and legible, with the works number 280, from where she got her first BR number.
I'll dig them out tomorrow and try and photograph them.
I think it's brush, there's a falcon facebook page with loads of pictures on it.
I asked Chris at Severn Mill some years ago, but he wasn't up for it.
Is that top pic of Falcon at Swindon, or Brush?
