The OP states that the Naughty Corner is a sub-division of a short line. Post #15 describes a generic Naughty Corner in which Jordan has spent some microseconds whilst contemplating his permanent way.

Deviation. I described the first Naughty Corner as a sub division of the Back of The Class, not a Short Line.
