Jltrt Class 22 - On Its Way?!!

Hi All,

I bet this is posted eleswhere on here and I have missed it!:shit::)

Yet here goes - according to Pete Waterman's blog on Railnuts the Class 22 is going ahead - and there was me thinking that Dapol would beat JLTRT to it;):))

I dont have access to Railnuts - perhaps someone else can Post a link for his CAD drawings etc....

I attended university and subsequently worked in the western-U.S for a couple of decades from the early 80`s and consequently became rather out of touch with popular-happenings in the U.K.
I recall the first time I heard of this 'Pete Waterman' chap, was whilst trying to read a newspaper over the shoulder of a fellow passenger on a transatlantic flight, the headline said:

"Pete Waterman contracts Kylie Minogue"

........it was several days following, before I discovered that the latter wasn`t actually a tropical disease!:D

Unfortunately Phill's link won't work for you.... we in Admin have discussed this news for a week already, which is where the Thread was posted, so is unavailable otherwise:cool: .... Phill will be dealt with in an appropriate manner for his unbridled enthusiasm....;)

Actually, when I say "discussed", the conversation revolved more around who would post first about it on open Forum, and then how much Frothing will take place...... :D

So no, CME, you haven't missed it anywhere else on here....

Now then, Phill, you know what's coming....... fancy having to do this to one of our own... tut tut....

Whilst ringing up for something else, the class 22 was unofficially mentioned, but I alerted the Flying squad, while we waited for something official to be spotted/announced.

Wrong links removed

Ah, I understand - a little like the Heljan 31 for me - I thought it may have been something to do with Railnuts and copyright etc.....

After seeing Dapol's 4mm Cl22 locos (both weathered and clean) it will be nice to see a quality Cl22 in 7mm, even better to see a RTR one though - tantilisingly Dapol's catalogue and annoucements have been delayed/put back yet again - exciting times!:)

As a youngster I loathed them, thankfully they never survived into large logo:eek:

But 40 years on, you can't help but love them, at last decent D63xx's in 7mm:D

May I ask who's pictures these belong to ? I'm a member of the Project 22 Society and Committee Member and we are looking at all Class 22 items to utilise at our Railway Society Show visits and these would be ideal for us to show. Thanks in advance. Jack Russell. We have a facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/218449265028960/ and our own WWW at www.class22newbuild.co.uk.
