Thank you Rob, I'm pleased that you have found some inspiration here on my thread. Roughly twelve months ago I was in the same situation as yourself, and about to embark on a 7mm scale modelling journey, one that I am sure you will enjoy as much as myself:)

Thanks Ade, I have always tried to make up for my layouts lack of size and track by adding as much detail as possible. Something that is even more rewarding, and satisfying in the larger scale.

Thank you Michael, I'm rather pleased with how the ground frame worked out myself, it was part of my original plan and then I started thinking about a small signal box instead.

Before and after, looking back I think the box would have been a huge mistake as the ground frame looks more at home, and helps create a more open look to the scene.

I was expecting him to put up more of a fight to be honest:)

Thanks Chris, I spent a lot of time reading through your thread before taking the plunge into 7mm scale, so you have a lot to answer for!! :)

Makes you wonder how long the list will be, I mean there must be more than three of us who have been influenced and inspired by your modelling:)

Meanwhile I have been adding a little more greenery to the area beyond the crossing, after which I took a couple of photos. That is something that I always do when developing a scene, as I find it helps me to decide how far to take things. Anyway this photo started me thinking about developing the cassette deck scenically, much as I did with Llangunllo's. Whilst far from perfect the idea worked well on the old layout, suited my style of operation and made good use of what would have been a dead space.

There are some instances on the Southern where they removed signal boxes on lightly used lines a replacement ground frame was sited on the station platform under the canopy surrounded by a iron fence.

I also take many photos as I go along as the camera is far less accomodating than the eye and therefore easier to see areas of concern.

Good stuff though Geoff, as always.

Hello Geof, ok great to see an update .............. yep getting more and more atmospheric each time.

I would like to book a day of social distancing at Bleddfa Rd, happily sitting on the gate, with my butties & a flask, just watching the slow pace of life go by please

Best regards, from a still inspired
    Craig.

Thanks Craig, best regards to you as well, glad you are still being inspired:) We are staying well away from Bleddfa at the moment, and hiding away in another area of Wales, which is providing plenty of inspiration for a backscene.

Here's a couple of early ideas, which have been put through the photo editor to remove the crisp detail. The big question is, can I capture the scenes with paint and brush?

I can't help thinking of Eric Morecambe and his famous one liner, "this boys a fool" :D

Meanwhile could Bleddfa Road's cassette deck be going all scenic shades of Llangunllo?

Oh YES you will Geoff and they will be as good as the rest of your modelling, ie excellent.

You are too kind Alan, thank you, though I doubt my old art master would agree with you.
