To pick this up again, I came away from Telford very disappointed on Saturday. I had read the Martin was retiring, but that he was fully stocked up on all kits. I tried to buy a V2 from him and he was already sold out.

So, for me, it becomes important that this range endures.....I don't think there is another V2 around anywhere near as good.

Hi Alcazar, yup afraid so, I contacted Martin beginning of last week, and he said he only had 2 left of the V2 kits...

Without wanting to rub it in, im now a very proud owner... Yours for £1000... ;)

Damn........having read he was fully stocked, I thought Telford would be a good place to get one. Who'd have thought he would sell out so fast? I think even he was surprised.

But why, oh why didn't he let everyone know he was retiring, but take orders to be fulfilled before he went?

I think the only other V2 is the ACE Products one, and tbh it won't be anywhere near as good.

I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that his range sells...and NOT to Mr Swain!!!

Thinking about it now, I wish I had bought both V2 kits... A VERY expensive day, but what if the kits don't ever come back...?!

A slightly different perspective to the debate on value and worth of the company now, is that everyone (except Jeff) who wanted one of his kits probably now has one, and future sales may be limited?

From discussion I had with various people over the weekend it's obvious that there definitely still is demand. Martin's no fool - he'll have worked that if he floods the market now the business will be worth less to any prospective purchaser.
The V2 is not the only kit sold through; the last batch of Light Pacifics (10) sold through yesterday. I don't know the status of any others.

The A4 is now also sold out.

I would be interested to know what MF thought was "fully stocked"? SURELY it can't have been more than two or three of each kit?

If you read his statement on his website it says that 2015 will be his last year and that he is at Telford next year.
Surely he will be restocking, can't think he will turn up with just one or two dark green kettle kits.
It does however say I don't intend restocking but does that mean I might restock :)

We I contacted him, he kinda gave the impression that, that was it, when they're gone they're gone...

But it would be silly not to..

You might see a couple of my Finney/Harris kit combinations pop up on Ebay soon then from the shelf queens, might be as valuable as platinum soon!
