I had a surprise phone call from John Borkowski yesterday evening, "Hi john, are you at home? I am in Worcester and just happen to have your new loco's on me. Is it OK to pop over and deliver them to you now?"
I of course said "Yes"
45 minutes later john arrived clutching two very nice looking boxes. We took them into te kitchen and he popped back out to the car to collect two more to show me, the work in progress/sample of his up and coming BR Standard 5 and a 47xx in GWR livery. Both are truly outstanding!
John was very complementary about my lay outs and loved the way the models I had bought from him had been weathered. His parting words were "Make sure you get the two new one weathered the same as the others."
Here is the first of my two new 'fleet' members, 9711.
