A catfish  It must be too easy  :)) next time I will just show one part  :)

I have a pair to build, and I am trying to do them as a small batch in preparation for more tank wagons

I managed to tack one underframe together this evening, the second will follow tomorrow. At this rate I will manage to get them both finished by Christmas, as the underframe is much less complicated than the tank wagon, and there are no ladders or walkways

That looks like both a good job and a fun kit to build Guv  :D

Quick question - in the second photo of your first post, you have folded up the two subassemblies for the ends of the frames - is there any solder in those, or are they just folded up out of the etch? If so,  . brass origami, love it  8)

It's 'kettle - style' chassis I can't do...

A new Forum Competition awaits... post one picture of some obscure component, and ask the question....

"Can you tell what it is, yet?"

The proper answer is :- (shouted from a distance...)

"No Rolf, we're not standing far enough back...!!"

It needs a damn good clean up,  but both chassis are soldered up. Its quite a time consuming job, but it needs to be  properly soldered and squared up.

Just in the process of ruining a MMP Dogfish myself. The way the chassis etches fold up is amazing, a real work of art. Just wish I could
make a better job of soldering it all together!

Your pair look to be coming along nicely Cynric, will watch with interest.

Anthony

** Edit: just to quantify my remark above, I'm ruining my Dogfish.......the work on your's look excellent! **
