More noise on the GCR

What still!?!!
I haven't done that journey for more than 15 years, but I well remember the ear-splitting noise on my weekly journeys...

Not sure why, but it got a whole lot worse about 5 years ago.. Quite a few people put their hands over their ears, it's that bad.

But to come back to Arty's original post, was the noise due to tight curves?
Whichever, The Mountsorrel branch seems much more interesting than the main line, from that film

Yes Geoff, the line was a mineral branch, and not really suitable for lwb 6 coupled tank locos.
And I haven't forgotten I still owe you £12.00 :(
