Nice - I like the photoshopping - quite delicately done and not too much overdone.
Yes, it's the 'steam' that makes it a good shot...

Just a parting shot before heading off on hols. 40132 heading light towards the box on the approach to Longroyd Bridge Station. Acorn warehouse in the background is receiving lighting attention, and an electrician takes a crafy 5 mins fag break.....

Lovely pictures, beautiful locos too, looks "very" West Yorkshire?? Hope I'm right being a Bradford lad   Which is your local club by the way? Ross...

Hi Ross,

Yes, VERY West Yorks - it's Huddersfield Railway Modellers, and we meet every Thursday evening - I would be very pleased to invite and take anyone along who'd like to pay a visit  - refreshments (non-alcoholic only as a few are train drivers!) are available. A couple of weeks ago we had an excellent talk from Martin Walker of Beaver Sports who owns and operates D9000 and D9016 - amazing what he's been able to achieve with D9000 on the mainline again, with 9016 hopefully to follow at some stage!

Can't get away from the L&YR feel on Longroyd, but things are progressing with a little bit of the South West on the new O Gauge layout underway :D

Hope to see you soon!

Ian.

Will try and come over one thursday evening thanks for the invite  Its not too much of a trek and thursdays are good usually as SWMBO works till 11pm so I'll not get into bother   I'll see if Phill fancies a ride too (use his petrol too!) Ross...

Hi Ross,

You and Phill would be more than welcome - just send me a e-mail beforehand as I can't always get down to the club due to work commitments. I'm definitely there this Thursday, but not for the following two as I'll be in Birmingham and Glasgow. We usually have 3 thursdays in the month working on the layouts (N,2mm , OO (x3), O (x2) and 16mm), and then a running night, but I'll make sure my loco's and DCC equipment are around if you let me know when you're coming over. Feel free to bring some of you own stock too if you wish to run them on out layouts.

Also, it's our Club Open Day on Saturday, 18th September when all the layouts will be in operation from 10am 'til 5pm, with live steam, DCC and DC operations. There also good food and drinks available (non-alcoholic).

Hope to hear from you soon!

Ian.

The other thing to mention is that it's our Club Open Day (Huddersfield Railway Modellers Club) on Saturday 18th September - 10am to 4pm. It's free entry, with ample free parking and refreshements available. 7 layouts in operation (two 7mm) and modelling demonstrations are scheduled.

Maybe one or two of you would be interested in seeing Longroyd in the flesh!

I'll be at Telford on Saturday, and hope to meet quite a few of you/us there!

All the best, Ian.
