Certainly does... that's the variant I'd like - buffer skirts/centre headcode.

What make is it? Or am I being thick /lazy and that's already posted up..?!?

Hi Jordan,

Thanks for the kind words. The kit was one of Pete Watermans JLTRT (they do something like 14 variants for the varous prototypes, but I still prefer the "as build" version in BR Blue).

For Rob, I can confirm that Monitor will be this year's winter project, but the bonus is that Consort and Invader will be joining her! Happy hydraulics in Honley indeed!!!

Cheers for now...

Ian.

Cheers Ian.

As an aside, I spoke to the Heljan chaps at Telford and they said they will do another 37, with a different nose to the split-box, but are going to wait until the demand is back. Seems they have no more 37s themselves; the Traders have whatever remains to be sold.

Hi Jordan,

I inherited a JLTRT split headcode kit from my father (and which will get the ABC motor bogie treatment), and there's no doubt the quality of the mouldings is superb on this variant too. Construction won't be 'til next year as I'll have all on with finishing the Class 101, two (possibly three) Westerns, and a scratch Class 110 (and a further commission for two JLTRT Class 20's!)... Business is booming

I do like the Heljan stuff, and I've just purchased three of their Mkl1 coaches for some rtr relief, but on the loco front I find that I want to have been involved in the build... not just a tweak and some weathering.... Know what I mean? :)

We've the Open Day a week on Saturday so the new stock will be getting a run out. I'll post some pix of the event and, of course, would love to see a few of you all there... :D

Ian.

Ahh... thanks for the comments chaps. I realise I''ve messed up on the sound by adding a copyrighted soundtrack and Youtube has (quite rightly) suppressed it! I'll try again with a couple of other select clips which I'll leave the soundtrack on so you can get the blast of the LoksoundXL decoders

Yes Guv, that's Barry - our master electrician who's always keen to get in on the act

Anyway, I hope this is a little more atmospheric........

Evening all.  Just a couple of pics of progress on the Birchencliffe terminus canopy, and the station building (opposite platform).  Sorry they're not on the layout yet, but I'll post a couple of shots when they're completed and in situ.
