Ah ha. I recognise the Lesney milk float. I used to have one of these in my formative years.

Yes the old Commer Milk Float, issued in 1961, the one in the picture belongs to one of my sons and is mid 70's I guess.

Not having been on this forum for a considerable time I have just found this thread and what an absolute delight it is, the modelling skill is something to aspire to and the latest photos of the station building are cracking. I love the moss covered roof.

Thoroughly enjoying browsing this thread, it's inspirational.

Love the lichen on the roof. How did you do it?

Nice bit of Gothic ironwork on the roof and around the bay window .

Get the lighting right and you have a set for Arnold Ridley's 'The Ghost Train' - originally a stage play turned into a film in 1941.

Arnold Ridley (of Dad's Army fame) was a noted playwright.

Alan, the slates where washed with thinned out PVA, then tissue applied, when dry, more thinned PVA was added and Polyfilla sprinkled to it.

Here's a quick shot with the Station building plonked down on site...a tight fit...and I forgot to line up the pillars Also, Allan Downes cracking signal box in the distance, yet to be positioned properly and weathered etc.
