Penzance in proprietary OO from the 70s and 80s

Thought I would post some pictures of my work in progress, a representation of Penzance in the summer of '75 using the proprietary offerings that were available in that decade into the early 1980s (with a bit of current stuff so it works).
This is an exercise in nostalgia not only for the locomotoves and trains of those days but also for the style of model railway, or more accurately train set, that I was able to produce.
I've spent far too much on model railways over the years (according to my better half), trying to produce "proper" model railways all of which have failed for one reason or another, usually lack of ability resulting in frustration and disillusionment, so this is being done as cheaply as possible by using second hand stuff and scratch building".
I do intend to eventually operate it to a schedule based on the real WTT of the period so if anyone has copies of the relevant pages that they would be willing to share I would be grateful.
The photos have been taken over the last nine months. Progress is glacial with the occassional spurt of activity but if there is enough interest I will post updates although they will not be particularly regular.

Here's a few more pictures showing recent progress with my representation of Penzance in the summer of '75.
The platform carcass, from 5mm foam board, is almost complete. This will be edged with stone card paper and the surfaces will be asphalt and paving papers. The station building and train shed are also progressing, from the same 5mm foam board covered with home produced stone papers. 20191001_225446.jpg 20191001_225606.jpg 20191006_182450.jpg
