Lots of interesting stuff here both rail and road if modelling in the early 60's. So few cars on the motorways then.


I love the look of that Vanden Plas 4ltr near the end, reminds me of my old Rover P5.

Very interesting footage of the period, but I can’t help seeing it as a propaganda film on behalf of one E Marples, probably the single most corrupt politician ever to grace our parliament in the twentieth century.
As Minister for Transport he made sure that his own company, Marples Ridgeway, got the contracts to build the motorways.

Of course, he was the one who employed a certain Dr Beeching from ICI to be his hatchet man on the Railways.

Anyone modelling 60's should watch these films as they contain a wealth of information such as street furniture, road markings and other details of a bygone England.
