The Guild of Railway Artists has an exhibition at Kidderminster Station running from August 17th to September 29th.
Our very own artist at Love Lane, Peter Insole has two pictures there. They are those used for the front covers of the recent books on the District Line which Pete has previewed on this forum.
I also suspect that Mrs Pulham will showing some of her excellent art.
all the best

Gosh Rob, do you think that you are up for two doses of me within a fortnight...?!

I'm really looking forward coming back to Kidderminster again for the Grand Opening on Saturday!

What a cracking opening day to the exhibition.
It was great to meet Pete and his good lady along with friends and other modellers. Then lunch out with friends followed by a ride on the SVR.
Then came the news that Pete had sold both of his pictures and Chris had sold one of her' 's too.
The standard of entries is really high this year so that makes it even more special.
The opening was packed with people so we will go back for another look on the Friday before Telford.

My favourite pictures at Railart were those by Chris Pulham and Peter Insole. Chris's & Peter's in particular had an air of subdued realism about them that wasn't present in many of the others. In my opinion, too many of the paintings had a high gloss finish that wasn't well respected by the room's lighting and which then gave them a "speckled" appearance. My overall favourite has to be Chris's painting of the LNER N2.
