Reading 0 Gauge show.

Please stop by stand TS16 (Thames Suite) - I (or rather my brother, on my behalf) will be selling a large selection of O gauge models, many professionally built. Primarily GWR but in particular there is a lovely LNER Chesham shuttle set that I'm sorry to see go.

I will be at the show for the first time, looking forward to it.

Chesham is my home town so will be interested to have a look at the shuttle set before it goes!

Back home, motorways pretty good both ways, brilliant (if rather expensive) show, and great to meet the WT crowd, but shame about the big boy's breakfast - I do hope the leisure centre sorts the dismal catering out before next year.

I'm thinking of contacting their bun suppliers as I'm sure they would be an ideal scenic material, a sort of lightweight paper mâché, at least, that's what it tasted like :)

We gave up on anything to eat - not that we had time!

I enjoyed that day out. As seems to be normal for me at shows these days I spend all day there but seem to miss half of it!

I agree Heather, nice to see you all be it briefly. I spent nearly the whole time talking and just managed to get to find the Ragstone stand before I had to go.
The Dapol O8 looked very nice, Pete showed me the 3D cab if the D600 warship!! Wow we are in for a treat there.
I spoke to Dave at MOK and paid my balance up on my 9F that should be mid to late January now. We also discussed the 15xx pannier which he's also working on.
The little Minerva Peckett was lovely. Certainly a company to watch for the future.
Sorry to all I missed. I did intend on coming to the test track but it was 13.40 when I noticed the time.

I had a great time at the show. I managed to spend about £20, but picked up everything I went for. I spent most of my time nattering and it was good to see everyone again, and meet new WTers. I was given a quick education in garden railway metallurgy - thank you guys. (I checked when I got home - all components are galvanised).

Brian's Ace tender really is now 'ace', the spaceship above looks well up to MOK standards, and I liked the look of JLTRTs Prestwin and Southern wagons.

Good stuff.

.....sorry forgot to mention, I met. heather and her best beloved and she kindly handed over a nice bag of copper wire.
I wonder if I nip off to the scrap yard I could make today's spend back...

Thanks Mr Grumpy, that looks fab. Not a bit of resin or plastic in sight. Still the 08 looks good for the price being suggested

Hope to make it to the Bristol show and share the experience

Just for you Parky!
I picked up my 9f wheels from Slaters, couplings from CPL and my bogies from Steph.
Luckily I ran out of time before I spent my train fare home!

Interesting approach to the firebox on the 9F, looks like this kit will be all metal but without any white metal. The transition (I don't know the correct term) between the boiler & the firebox looks like a big brass casting!

It is!
Every part of this kit just oozes quality!
The fit of the brass (fire box throat ??) is perfect.
Due to my limited modelling experience, I'm seriously considering buying Dave's pannier tank to hone my modelling skills before attempting this one!
Need to sell off all my RTR first though!:(
