Sorry if this is hi-jacking the thread a bit, but there's been a recent "incident" on RMweb which has rather changed my view of the Admin there... some of it is summed up in this Website comment;

We've been discussing it on CRM. I won't go further here, just to say the sooner I get my 14 chassis back...[/quote:mi5znn9q]
That doesn't really surprise me TBH, It has always been a dictatorship rather than a democracy. I have more or less given up on it since the erm :? improvements & I suspect I'm not alone as lot of the people I consider friends no longer seem to post much there either :(
God bless RMweb 3 & all who sailed in her :x
Phill ;)
& thanks again to Cynric :D for providing a life raft for those of us who were clinging to the wreckage of RMweb3 :lol:

The RMWeb thread

I knew this would be a topic at some point, so any comments etc can go in here.
From my point of view I had high hopes for 'the change' but unfortunately for one reason or another it all seemed to head south. I do feel that it has become a victim of its own success and like most large forums there are large areas i never venture into, in fact, I now just read Kitbuilding, Prototype and the For sale once a day. There is also an inevitability that groups such as FRMW will break away from the main board, maybe its no coincidence that some of the more independent minded modellers have left as it has become more and more of a 4mm RTR froth fest.

The first poster on those screen grabs is one of the ones who really gets on my tit :twisted:

It takes longer & longer to browse, which IMO is due to the complexity of the new format, but with the content becoming less & less of interest because of the lost spontaneity & lost contributors . My own & other peoples threads were reasonably popular, which once forced into blogland without our consent just disappear because the viewers/contributors can't find them or loose the will to look for them because of the rubbish format & If they do find it, few comment because the comments are not easily seen.
Phill :x
